Indigenous Peoples’ Day Educators Open House

Open to: Grades K-12 Educators
Opportunity at a Glance: Meet Native people from throughout NYS as they share information about their communities, cultures, and artistic endeavors.  The day will include tours of the exhibition Native New York and art demonstrations. Participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy a tour of the exhibit Shelley Niro: The 500 Year Itch, guided by the artist herself, in addition to, being  provided with classroom-ready resources.

  • CTLE credit is available for NYS public school educators.
  • Certificates of participation will be provided to all attendees.

This program is supported in part by the NYSCA with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the NYS Legislature.
