Opportunity at a Glance: Educators are invited to bring their students to an exciting MyAuthorsNYC event. During this event educators and students can hear from Meg Medina—an award-winning, New York Times best-selling author and newest National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. Meg Medina is the author of Merci Suárez Changes Gears—a Newbery Medal winning book and 2018 Kirkus Prize finalist. The stories about the Suárez family continue in two more of Medina’s acclaimed books: Merci Suárez Can’t Dance and Merci Suárez Plays It Cool.
