Teaching Coming of Age Literature

Opportunity at a Glance: During this in-person professional learning workshop educators will be introduced to Facing History’s approach to teaching Coming of Age literature in secondary English Language Arts (ELA), which can be used to support common instructional formats, such as text sets, whole-class reads, and book clubs.  Participants will explore our modular collection that invites students to explore the complexity of identity and develop a sense of agency as they reflect on what it means to grow up in the world today.
