Opportunity at a Glance: Join the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for a professional learning opportunity on Tuesday March 12 from 4:30p.m. – 6:30p.m. at the Newtown Creek Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility. During this professional session participants will do the following:
- Learn about NYC’s wastewater treatment process from experts in the field; and
- View our educational exhibits on waste-to-energy and biogas-to-grid projects while touring the Newtown Creek facility in Brooklyn.
In addition, educators booking trips to the Visitor Center at Newtown Creek this spring will have the chance to see firsthand what their students will be learning.
