Open to: Grades K – 12 Teachers, Instructional Leads and Administrators
Opportunity at a Glance: Join the Department of Social Studies and Civics at the Tenement Museum for a full professional learning day. The workshop serves as an introduction to the Civics for All initiative for any teacher looking to utilize the NYCPS created curricular resources. Participants will do the following during this professional learning workshop:
- Explore the program design and components of the Civics for All curriculum;
- Consider opportunities for successfully integrating Civics for All into their classroom and school culture;
- Tour the Tenement Museum Exhibit “Tenement Women”; and
- Learn about resources and program opportunities for students.
Lunch will be provided.
