Participate in Ben Shahn and Social Activism workshop at the Jewish Museum

Opportunity at a Glance: You are invited to join us for a workshop that explores the exhibition, Ben Shahn, On Nonconformity.  Ben Shahn (1898-1969), a progressive artist, was committed to chronicling and confronting the pressing social issues of his era, spanning from the Great Depression to the Vietnam War.

Following a visit to the exhibition with a Jewish Museum educator, participants will learn printmaking techniques and create a poster about a contemporary social justice issue.

Additional Information

  • Program fee: $18
  • NY State educators may receive 5 CTLE hours.
  • Participants receive an Educator Pass good for 1 year.
    A light breakfast will be served.
