Critical Thinking and Climate Misinformation: Virtual Professional Development

Open to: Grades 6-12 Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance:
Grades 6-12 teachers, support students in developing critical thinking and information-literacy skills by examining how climate-related information is presented and evaluated.   During this session, led by the Climate Education Leadership Team, educators will explore common types of misleading or incomplete climate information and practice strategies for evaluating sources and assessing evidence.

Additional Workshop Details

  • Participants will leave with a classroom-ready lesson and presentation designed to strengthen analytical thinking and evidence-based discussion.
  • 1 Hour of CTLE credit is available.
