Opportunity at a Glance: Join STEMteachersNYC for our OpenSciEd Elementary: Storytelling and Sense-Making from Phenomena workshop. Led by “The Science Lady” Kathy Renfrew, and two STEMteachersNYC elementary teachers, we have got a virtual and hands-on workshop exploring early and late elementary OpenSciEd units. Experience an investigation in both “student” and “teacher” modes, and learn to use anchoring phenomena to spark curiosity. Whether you use OpenSciEd or not, you will leave with equitable strategies to deepen student discourse and engagement.
