Open to: Grades K – 12 Teachers, Instructional Leads and Administrators
Opportunity at a Glance: This year marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the establishment of The United States of America. Using the theme Voices Then, Voices Now, we will explore our nation’s history, build deeper content knowledge, and help our teachers develop instructional strategies to engage students. Educator workshops will look at a wide variety of topics centered on the following themes: Foundations of American Government, Rights and Responsibilities, The Role of the Individual, Power and Politics, and Active Engagement.
This session will be the Kickoff of the series key noted by Professor Yohuru Williams.
