Opportunity at a Glance: Join STEMteachersNYC for a Bird Walk in Central Park for Teachers. Central Park is a migration hotspot, and Peter Davenport – teacher, avid birder, and president of the Linnean Society – will be your guide. There is no guarantee of which birds, you will learn how to identify birds using behavior, field guides, apps, and your senses.
The walk includes classroom-friendly resources and practical strategies you can bring back to your students, or just enjoy yourself.
This fully outdoor session involves walking—come prepared with comfortable footwear, water, and binoculars.
