Opportunity at a Glance: Join Department of Environment Protection, and NYC Public Schools Office of Energy and Sustainability for a professional learning opportunity on Tuesday, October 27 from 4:30p.m. – 6:30p.m. at the Newtown Creek Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility. Participants will learn about NYC’s wastewater treatment process from experts in the field and view educational exhibits on waste-to-energy and biogas-to-grid projects while touring the Newtown Creek facility in Brooklyn.
Educators planning trips to the Visitor Center at Newtown Creek this year will have the chance to see firsthand what their students will be learning
