Explore Equipped for Reading Success: Building Phonemic Awareness Skills in Grades K-12 with Dr. David Kilpatrick

Open to: All teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: Researchers have identified some highly effective ways of preventing and overcoming reading difficulties and this workshop will present those findings. However, most of the time will be spent on the practical implementation of that research using the Equipped for Reading Success program. This program is easy to use, is fun for students, and supplements your existing ELA instruction/remediation. All participants will receive a copy of the program manual. Teachers will be able to implement many of these approaches immediately but further study of the manual will allow for the extensive implementation of these highly effective approaches.
