Opportunity at a Glance: Beginning with our informal writing prompts and culminating in our review contest, our unit on writing reviews encourages students to post their work for a global audience.  Students are asked the following: to review a book, movie, restaurant, album, theatrical production, video game, dance, TV show, art exhibition or any other kind of work The New York Times critiques.

In this webinar, The Learning Network, along with expert educators, will walk through how to use writing prompts. In addition to, review of mentor texts from New York Times critics to help students understand the elements of a successful review, and write one for our contest.
