The Stories in Things – A Four Session Master Class with Rivka Galchen (CTLE credit offered)

Open to: All Full-Time Pre K-12 Classroom Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: With acclaimed essayist Rivka Galchen, we will write and workshop creative nonfiction stories either about the classroom setting or about teaching and teachers more generally. See below bullets that outline the classes for this course.

  • The first class will discuss William Golding’s essay Thinking as a Hobby;
  • The second and third classes will focus on workshops of participant’s pieces; and 
  • The fourth class teachers will exchange ideas with other brilliant educators.

In addition, participants will be complete a small amount of homework to prepare for each session.

CTLE-credit is available. This program is free for public and charter school teachers. Participants are selected by application and nominations.
