Reading the U.S. Constitution – A Three Session Master Class with Jill Lepore (CTLE credits available)

Open to: All Full-Time Pre K-12 Classroom Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Teaching our constitution during a time of constitutional crisis can be baffling. See below bullets that outlines the classes for this course.

  • The first two sessions, Harvard’s Lepore will illustrate ways to use art and argument to engage students in a close reading of the Constitution as 18th-century artifact, and a wider analysis of the culture of constitutionalism in American politics; and
  • The third session, participants will exchange ideas with other brilliant teachers.

In addition, participants will complete a small amount of homework to prepare for each session.

CTLE-credit is available. This program is free for public and charter school teachers. Participants are selected by application and nomination.
