Explore How to Teach Early Grade Literacy to Migrant Children from Central America and the Dominican Republic

Opportunity at a Glance: The K-12 Outreach Program at The Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS) –  Columbia University, invites you to attend the launch of its 2021 guide Teaching Early Grade Literacy to Migrant Children from Central America and the Dominican Republic.  The authors are part of The Central American and Caribbean Early Literacy Network (RedLEI) and will be there to answer your questions. After the launch, participate in a workshop on how to use the guide, with a focus on reading comprehension.

The event is free and part of the Teach Central America Week. The launch will be in English and is open, while the workshop has limited space and may be facilitated in English/Spanish upon request.
