Opportunity at a Glance: Join us for a unique opportunity to engage with Apollo Theater teaching artists and other educators from around the country. During this presentation participants will do the following:
- Learn about the Apollo Theater’s impact while highlighting significant performers who have advanced the arts and entertainment landscape; and
- Learn how use entertainment genres as entry points for exploring social and historical time periods while amplifying marginalized voices and perspectives through classroom curricula.
In addition, the presentation will focus on Rhythm & Blues through the lens of Apollo’s iconic history using interactive multimedia and discussion centered around building student engagement.
