Opportunity at a Glance: Join us for BrainSTEM In Action! Spend Chancellor’s Day at the Zuckerman Institute for fun professional development with other New York City high-school teachers. Our topic is the neuroscience of anxiety in STEM learning, and teachers can engage in observational and experiential activities.
Morning workshop only (free!): Tour MRI research labs at Columbia; learn about the neuroscience behind math anxiety and helpful coping strategies.
Full day workshop ($300 compensation): Morning activities; tailor a lesson based on this topic for your class; try out your lesson; receive peer feedback.
Key dates: Thursday June 9 (Chancellor’s Day) from 9:00a.m. – 1:00p.m. OR 9:00a.m.- 4:00p.m.
