Opportunity at a Glance: How can one develop self and social awareness without understanding culture? Educators will learn about Social Emotional Learning (SEL), its benefits, and connection to global competence. Through practical strategies and activities, educators will leave equipped with resources and prepared to develop students’ social, emotional, and global competence and embed globally-focused SEL practices in their instruction. This workshop will include guest speaker Donna Black, SEL expert and author of the book Essentials of Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
Cost: $55 members / $69 non-members
