Lighthouse Collaborative Visit:Bronx International High School – Learn About Language Development Strategies in Core Instruction and Career and Technical Education

Open to: High School Teachers, English Language Learners Teachers, CTE Teachers and Program Directors
Opportunity at a Glance: The Lighthouse Collaborative visit will focus on Bronx International’s approach to designing and implementing literacy instruction that balances rigor and accessibility for all students equitably.  In addition, during this visit we will focus on increasing career connections within the curriculum as well as equity and opportunity through CTE programs and Work-Based Learning.

This Lighthouse Collaborative visit will highlight the following:

  • The design and implementation of CTE and Work-Based Learning.
  • How students engage in group reading or literacy activity.
  • Classroom routines for discussion and using speaking and listening skills.
  • Teacher moves, such as conferencing or other 1 to 1 strategies.
