Open to: Grades 3-8 Science and Collaborating Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Grades 3-8 Teachers are invited to apply for the Urban Advantage Science Initiative (UA), an integrated, practice-based learning initiative for science instruction in grades 3 through 8. All schools accepted into the program will receive the following:
- High-quality professional learning for teachers and administrators;
- Resources and materials;
- Access to the eight UA institutions: along with
- Additional benefits as outlined on this UA flyer.
The UA initiative is centered on the NYS Science Learning Standards, the Ambitious Science Teaching Framework, and the NYS Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework and can support all curricular materials.
