Discover the History of Trans Activism in NYC with the Museum of the City of New York

Open to: All Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: The past, present, and future of LGBTQ activism in New York has always been trans, from the Stonewall Uprising of 1969 to the ongoing fight to ensure safety for trans people of color. Join fellow educators for this free virtual workshop hosted by the Museum of the City of New York to explore how trans activists have fought for safety, freedom, and power. Examine primary sources from our Activist New York exhibition, and leave with new ideas and confidence for including this history in your teaching.
