Open to: Grades K – 8 Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Field trips are meant to be a fun, engaging experience for school groups; however, educators know that stress-free field trips are hard to come by. Whether buses are late, students are acting rambunctious, or staff are being unhelpful, many factors can turn a fun field trip into a chaotic one. During this workshop, participants will:
- consider different approaches to regulating themselves and their students during the inevitable hiccups that come while on a trip.
- receive resources to make their trips to the American Museum of Natural History as smooth as possible (e.g., how to book trips, entrance and ticketing protocols, etc.).
